In the year 1989 Ethiopian Red Cross Society, Center of Capacity Development for Humanitarian Service (CCDHS) was established under Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS) aiming at supporting the efforts of the national society through capacity building and generating income so that the society can accomplish its mission. With this regard, Article 12, sub Article 15 and 17 of the establishment Charter of ERCS, which is revised by Proclamation number 1067/2018 has entitled ERCS to generate sustainable income through engaging in different income-generating activities with the mission of conducting research studies on disaster prevention and development services.
